Established in 1961 • Registered Charity • Basketball England Affiliated
Sheffield Hatters Junior Basketball Club is committed to creating an open and inclusive environment based on trust, honesty and respect. The Club is committed to eliminating harassment and discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on race, colour, disability, religion, age, sexual orientation or social background. Everyone that joins or represents the Club must accept and uphold these principles and contribute to maintaining an environment where everyone is treated fairly, with dignity and respect.
Sheffield Hatters were founded by Betty Codona OBE in 1961 and is one of the most successful female clubs in the country with an excellent reputation and good track record for developing young players, coaches and game officials. As a registered charity and Basketball England affiliated club, we rely heavily on our fundraising programme and supporter donations.
The junior programme run solely by volunteers caters for female beginners through to elite level players and with a recreational women's team that plays at a local league level.
We always welcome newcomers whether that is to play, coach or volunteer so please get in touch with us.
